Most classes are run on a drop-in basis with no reservation required. Some classes require a reservation due to equipment needs. Please see our program guide for full class details including reservations, age requirements, and family friendly classes. 

Group Exercise is generally appropriate for members ages high school age and older. Please see the FULL list of youth guidelines for participating in group exercise classes.

AGING BACKWARDS  RESERVE MY SPOT

This gentle full body workout offers mild exercises to increase mobility, flexibility, and improve balance. The range of exercises is safe for every level of fitness yet still provides a welcomed challenge. Aging Backwards provides you with energy to keep you looking and feeling young!

BARRE

A hybrid workout class inspired by elements of ballet, yoga, Pilates, and strength training. A low impact, muscular endurance workout that focuses on high repetitions and small, isometric movements. Barre challenges anyone looking to fine-tune their muscles- no ballet experience required. 

BODY PUMP  RESERVE MY SPOT

The original Les Mills barbell class will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your entire body. Get ready to get energized from head to toe! Must be 16+ to participate.

Cardio Kickboxing that incorporates equipment for a workout that packs some major punch! We encourage you to bring your own gloves. 

CORE FOCUS TOGETHER  LEARN MORE

This 30-minute class that strengthens everything from your shoulders to your hips to make you stronger, quicker, and faster in all you do. In addition, strengthening your core can reduce back pain and give you great looking abs! It’s quick, challenging and like nothing else! 

DEFEND TOGETHER  LEARN MORE

If you loved Cardio Kickboxing, this new format offers that and much more. MMA moves drive a great cardio experience that also strengthens the entire body.  It's a great way to add variety to your training and improve timing, precision, and focus.  Plus, it's a great way to kick stress out of your life! 

DRUMS ALIVE

Using rhythm as the source of inspiration to discover a new group of fitness experiences. Drums alive combines the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the brain affected benefits of music and rhythm. This program fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, and socially!

ESSENTRICS  RESERVE MY SPOT

Perfect for men and women of all fitness levels, essentrics is a dynamic, full-body workout suitable for all fitness levels that simultaneously combines stretching and strengthening while engaging all 650 muscles. This class will increase flexibility and mobility for a healthy, toned and pain-free body. 

ESSENTRICS BARRE  RESERVE MY SPOT

This class includes a chair to help improve strength as well as balance and stability, and is safe for all fitness levels. 

FIT CAMP 

This class incorporates everything from step aerobics to kickboxing to muscle conditioning. You will utilize different types of equipment along with bodyweight and cardiovascular exercises. 

GROUP BLAST  LEARN MORE

60 minutes of cardio training that uses the STEP in highly effective, athletic ways. It will get your heart pounding and sweat pouring as you improve your fitness, agility, coordination and strength with exciting music and group energy. Have a blast!

GROUP CENTERGY

COMING JANUARY 2025, Group Centergy is an invigorating 60-minute mind-body workout. It incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for strength, balance, mobility and flexibility. Emotive music drives the experience as you move and sweat through this full-body movement journey. More details coming soon!

GROUP CYCLING  RESERVE MY SPOT  GET THE APP

A non-impact journey on specially designed stationary bikes, allowing participants to work at their own pace while being coached by top-notch instructors. The bikes at 20th Ave have technology built into the console, allowing riders to use various metrics to crush goals. The Downtown Y uses Intelligent Cycling, a virtual ride system, to keep you motivated and entertained. Download the Intelligent Cycling app prior to your ride, but it is not required to get a great workout. Individuals new to cycling are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to class starting. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian, if the bike is fitted by the instructor and is safe for them to use. 

GROUP GROOVE LEARN MORE

A sizzling cardio experience that will make you sweat with a smile. During this energizing hour of dance fitness, you'll experience a fusion of club, hip-hop, and Latin dance styles set to the hottest current hits and the best dance songs ever produced! IF YOU CAN MOVE, YOU CAN GROOVE! Kids 10 and older are welcome with the direct supervision of a parent. 

H.I.I.T.

Challenge both your cardiovascular and muscular systems with this High Intensity Interval Training class. H.I.I.T. incorporates strength and endurance exercises with short bursts of cardio for a complete workout that will leave you drenched. 

HIP HOP 

Hip Hop is a fun, energy filled class that gets your heart pumping! Follow along to routines choreographed to energizing hip hop and pop songs. No dance experience required. 

MUSCLE CONDITIONING 

This strength conditioning and toning class is a great compliment to anyone's cardiovascular routine. Increase muscular strength using resistance tubing, bands, weights and body bars. A class suited to both the beginner and the advanced. 

PILATES 

Pilates is a series of exercises that are performed on a floor mat, using few or no props. Exercises will develop muscular strength and fitness. 

PILATES FOAM ROLLER 

A mindful approach to strengthening the core through a series of movements done on the mat and floor. By using awareness of muscle activation and body control, Pilates can improve posture, flexibility, mobility, balance, and core strength. Foam Rollers and tennis balls are great tools to help you relax and maintain flexible, active, and pain-free muscles. Participants will learn how to safely and effectively target all the major muscle groups and discover techniques for targeting trouble areas. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian. 

SCIENCE OF STRETCH 

The Science of Stretching™ approach uses best practices from published exercise physiology research combined with time-tested protocols from yoga, dance, martial arts, and gymnastics to provide a solution that delivers predictable results. This system is taught to students of all levels, including complete beginners and students with injuries. Our goal is to re-establish basic range of motion (ROM). Flexibility improves your posture, reduces pain, reduces the chances of injury and allows you to move like a younger version of yourself.  

TABATA 

Tabata is an interval training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without a pause eight times, for a total of four minutes. It is an  intense and challenging form of interval training that will get your heart rate up while having fun. 

TAI CHI 

Tai Chi is a non-competitive, self-paces system of gentle physical exercises an stretching. In Tai Chi, you perform a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner, each posture flowing into the next without pause. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability can practice Tai Chi. This class teaches breathing coordinated with movement to enhance the development of inner energy and peace of mind. Participants will learn taiji basic exercises and a few taiji postures. 

TAI CHI FOR BEGINNERS

This program is a gentle introduction to the practice and philosophy of Tai Chi. This class will improve your balance, flexibility, and strength while promoting relaxation and harmony in the body. 

TRX  RESERVE MY SPOT

Use suspension straps to push, pull and lift your bodyweight to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. 

TRX/KICKBOX COMBO

Strength meets cardio in this combo class. TRX uses suspension straps to push, pull, and lift your bodyweight to develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously. The cardio kickboxing component will incorporate equipment for a workout that packs some major punch!

WINNECONNE FITNESS CLASSES LEARN MORE REGISTER

Experience Oshkosh YMCA classes in Winneconne! Located at St. Mary's church, enjoy a well-rounded cardio and strength workout in these fun and challenging classes. Equipment is provided. Open to anyone high school age or older. *Please note that these classes are not free to Y members. Participants pay a monthly fee for unlimited classes, or a drop-in fee per class.*  

YOGA 

For all fitness levels. Yoga is a system of stretching and positional exercises derived from this discipline to promote good health, fitness and control of the mind. Try these variations of Yoga classes at the Y:

Power Yoga: designed to increase your heart rate while focusing on full body strength and balance, this energetic class is sure to help you find the calm within the challenge. 

Restorative Yoga: this class gives time to stretch and repair tired muscles with a relaxed pace and a gentle flow. Release stress throughout the entire body with emphasis on the shoulders, back, and hips. 

Flow Yoga: students ride the breath from one posture to the next, creating a continuous and flowing experience. Flow yoga is both a great place to start and continue challenging your body through poses. 

Slow Flow Yoga: students ride the breath through a series of poses and refine each pose before moving on the the next one. 

YOUTH YOGA

Fun and interactive yoga class for kids 6-12 years old. Parents are welcome to be in the room but are not required or expected to participate. 

ZUMBA 

Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves that allow participants to dance away their worries. Great for the body and mind! It's a feel-happy fusion of Latin and International music-dance that creates a dynamic fitness system. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.
